Who it suits
Sensitive skin, children, faces, and anyone who would rather wash with one ingredient than forty. It is the only bar in the range with no nuts, no dairy and no palm oil, which makes it the safest place to start. If you want a little more richness, Apricot Kernel Oil. If you want something that clarifies rather than comforts, Kefir, Bentonite Clay & Hibiscus.
How it's made
Cold-process: the soap is made at low temperature and left to cure for weeks rather than pushed through heat and pressing. The formula is calculated with a 5 percent superfat, so a share of the oil stays unsaponified in the finished bar. That is part of why it feels softer on the skin than a commercial soap, and why the bar itself is softer too. Every bar is cut by hand.

Caution
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and rinse with plenty of water if it happens. Patch test on a small area first if your skin is sensitive, and stop using it if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Keep the bar on a draining dish away from the direct spray and let it dry between uses. A cold-process bar left in standing water softens and disappears quickly.

Frequently asked
How long does one bar last?Six to eight weeks of daily use in the shower, if it is kept dry between washes. Left sitting in water it can be gone in under three. A draining dish is the whole difference.
Why does it lather less than my usual soap?Olive oil makes a dense, low lather rather than a big foam. Foam comes from detergents, not from cleaning power. Give it a few seconds longer and it will do the same work.
Can I use it on my face?Yes, and this is the bar to use if your skin is at all reactive. It is not a shampoo bar; for hair, see Laurel & Avocado.
