Who it suits
Oily or congested skin, and faces more than bodies. It contains kefir and sweet almond oil, so it is neither vegan nor suitable if you avoid tree nuts. If you want the same clarifying effect with more richness underneath it, Activated Charcoal & Goat Milk. If clay feels like too much, Kefir & Oatmeal is the mild version.
How it's made
Cold-process, with a 5 percent superfat, so a share of the oils stays unsaponified in the finished bar. The three layers are poured one at a time and have to set between pours, which is why this bar takes the longest to make. Every bar is cut by hand.

Ingredients
Olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond (Prunus dulcis) oil, castor oil, palm oil, kefir, milk, hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) flower extract, kaolin clay, bentonite clay, cosmetic colourant, aqua.
Allergens
Contains kefir and milk, and almond (tree nut). Not vegan.

Approximately 110 g. Every bar is cut by hand, so weight and pattern vary slightly.
Caution
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and rinse with plenty of water if it happens. Clay can be drying on already dry skin, so patch test on a small area first and stop using it if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Keep the bar on a draining dish away from the direct spray and let it dry between uses. A cold-process bar left in standing water softens and disappears quickly.

The making
Made slowly, in small batches.
The color
Two clays do the work, kaolin and bentonite, drawing oil off the skin without the squeak that soap usually leaves behind, and the kefir is what keeps it from going too far.
It is the most striking bar in the range to look at, and the most useful one for skin that turns shiny by mid-afternoon.
Frequently asked
How long does one bar last?Six to eight weeks of daily use in the shower, if it is kept dry between washes. Left sitting in water it can be gone in under three. A draining dish is the whole difference.
Will the layers come apart?No. They are poured wet onto each other and bond as the soap sets, so the bar wears down through all three together.
Is clay drying?It can be if you use it everywhere, every day. On an oily face it is the point; on dry skin, use Apricot Kernel Oil or Argan instead.
