100% Turkish Cotton Muslin

Made in Türkiye

The making

Made slowly, in small batches.

The color

It carries a small amount of warmth, enough that it sits comfortably against cream plaster, unbleached linen, and old wood without looking dingy beside them.

On an open weave the tone behaves differently than it would on a smooth sheeting: light passes into the cloth and comes back diffused, so the bed looks soft-edged rather than blank.

The wooden buttons give the front of the duvet its only visible detail.

The weave

Muslin's whole logic is the gap between threads. Woven open from Turkish cotton, the cloth lets warm air escape rather than trapping it under the duvet. It has already been through a wash at the mill, so nothing about it feels new or papery in the hand. Keep washing it and it keeps giving: a softer surface, a looser drape, and creases that settle in rather than looking neglected.

  • Full four-piece bed set in soft warm white
  • Turkish cotton muslin, OEKO-TEX certified
  • Natural wooden buttons fasten the duvet cover
  • Open gauze weave, pre-washed for softness from night one

Styling

An all-white bed only works when the whites differ. Put this beside an ivory waffle blanket, a bone-toned throw, and a slightly greyer sheet underneath, and the layers separate instead of merging into one flat block. Keep the frame pale or wooden. No pattern anywhere. The interest should come from texture, shadow, and the way the folds fall by late afternoon.

Frequently asked

How deep are the fitted sheet pockets? They are generous, and the full-perimeter elastic keeps corners seated overnight. If you use a very tall mattress plus a topper, check the depth listed in the size chart before ordering.

Is it too lightweight for winter? The fabric is airy, so most people layer in January. Slide a warmer insert into the cover and add a quilt on top; the muslin's job is comfort against skin, not insulation.

Does muslin wrinkle?Always. A gauze weave holds its rumple, which is much of its appeal. Line-drying briefly, then finishing in a low tumble, gives the softest version of that texture without deep set-in folds.
