100% Turkish Cotton Muslin

Airy, breathable weave

Made in Türkiye

The making

Made slowly, in small batches.

The color

This muslin holds a faint crinkle across the whole cloth, and warm gold catches in it unevenly: brighter along the ridges, deeper in the folds, so the duvet looks lit even in a north-facing room.

Run a hand over it and the texture is immediately there: dry, open, slightly uneven, nothing like the flat face of a sateen.

That surface is the reason this colorway works.

The weave

The character here comes from the weave. Open cotton gauze holds a permanent crinkle that catches light, and that texture is structural, not a coating that rinses away. Because the construction breathes, body heat moves out instead of pooling under the covers. A pre-wash at the mill takes off the stiffness of new cotton, and the cloth keeps relaxing with use, plusher month by month, with the lived-in crease muslin is known for.

  • Duvet cover plus fitted sheet and two pillowcases
  • Dimensional crinkled texture woven into airy 100% cotton
  • Warm golden stripe that shifts with the light through the day

Styling

Build the room toward golden hour. Warm bulbs, unlined curtains that glow at the edges, and brass or aged bronze hardware rather than chrome. Honey-toned wood suits it; so does cane. Layer a cream blanket loosely across the lower half so the gold reads as an accent rather than a wash of color, and keep artwork sparse, because this bed is already the warmest thing in the room.

Frequently asked

How does it soften over time? Each wash agitates the loose weave and lets the cotton bloom slightly, so the surface goes from soft to noticeably plush across the first month or two. It never thins, only relaxes.

Will it keep me cool?It sleeps cool for a structural reason rather than a chemical one: the gauze weave is full of tiny openings, so warm air keeps moving. Most people find it lighter than standard percale.

How deep are the fitted sheet pockets?Deep enough for most modern mattresses, including a topper of moderate thickness, with elastic running continuously around the edge. The measurements chart on this page gives the exact figure.

Same weave, different tone: Mineral, Sea Glass.
