The making
Made slowly, in small batches.
The color
200 × 240 cm covers a queen with enough left to fall down both sides.
Mineral keeps the effect quiet: grey ground, tonal stripe, nothing that competes with a patterned cushion or a strong headboard.
The weave
Each length comes off a hand loom, worked by a weaver instead of a machine, and the cloth keeps the evidence: some texture under the palm, small variations in the stripe. Cotton fiber lets air pass through, which is why the piece never feels heavy or airless over a sleeping body. Its drape is generous enough to fall over the side of a mattress in soft folds rather than sticking out.
- Cool grey handwoven cotton with a woven stripe throughout
Styling
Lay it over white sheets and let grey do the work a headboard usually handles. In a room of pale walls and wood floors, the cool tone stops everything from going flat. Fold it into thirds at the foot of the mattress for a made look, or pull it fully over the duvet on colder nights — the stripe reads well either way, since it runs with the length of the bed rather than across it.
Frequently asked
Can it go on a Queen bed? This is the size to choose for a queen. Used as a top layer it covers the mattress and reaches down the sides. On a king it centers rather than covers.
How is this different from the throw?Scale only — same cloth, same stripe. The throw is 160 × 220 cm and belongs on a chair or a sofa.
Is it warm enough on its own?In a warm room or a warm season, yes — cotton holds a little heat without smothering. Through winter, treat it as the layer that goes above a duvet rather than the only cover.
