100% Turkish Cotton Muslin

Airy, breathable weave

Made in Türkiye

The making

Made slowly, in small batches.

The color

Beside white it looks green.

Beside wood it turns toward blue.

The stripe is faint enough that from the doorway you register a color, not a pattern.

It is the easiest of the three to live with over years, which is usually what people mean when they say a color is restful.

The weave

Cotton gauze earns its reputation through space. Threads are set widely enough that the cloth reads almost translucent held to a window, and that openness is what keeps air circulating across a night. We pre-wash the yardage so it lands soft the first time it goes on the bed, and softness compounds from there: twenty cycles in, the fabric is gauzier, more relaxed, and unmistakably yours.

  • Airy cotton muslin with visible openness in the weave
  • Muted green-blue stripe that shifts with surrounding tones

Styling

Coastal calm, without the shells. Whitewashed or limed wood, an open weave rug, ceramics in sand and chalk. Let the window stay bare if privacy allows, because this color needs daylight to do its best work. One oatmeal linen cushion is enough. Wicker storage baskets and a plain white ceiling keep the room feeling ventilated, which is the actual point of a coastal bedroom.

Frequently asked

Does the color fade? Not quickly, with reasonable care. Wash cold, keep bleach and optical brighteners out of the machine, and avoid drying in a sunny window. Soft mid-tones like this hold better than saturated dyes.

Is it too lightweight for winter? It is light, but a duvet cover is only as warm as what goes inside it. Pair it with a high-fill insert for cold months and add a wool blanket if your room runs cold.

What mattress depth does it fit? Most beds, pillow-tops included. If your mattress and topper together sit at the extreme end of what is common, check the depth spec above before ordering rather than guessing.

Also available: Mineral and Sunlit.
