Made slowly, in small batches.
The color
Alabaster keeps things that way, a soft warm white reflecting whatever light a room already has.
Up close the chevrons come through clearly, with the slight waver hand weaving leaves behind.
From across a room the piece simply looks like well-made white cloth, which is the point.
The weave
Herringbone requires the weaver to reverse direction at set intervals as the piece is made on the loom, which is why the surface carries such visible structure. Because the process is manual, chevrons shift a little across a length. Cotton fiber keeps air moving through the cloth. It drapes rather than sits, folding over a chair arm or a shoulder without stiffness, and softens as it is laundered.

Styling
Alabaster answers for people who run hot at night — a cotton layer you can pull over yourself on the sofa in July without cooking. It does well in bright, minimal spaces: a white-walled bedroom, a chair beside a window, a basket near the entry for whoever ends up on the couch. White keeps a room feeling open rather than furnished. For the bed itself, the same cloth comes as a coverlet.

What is the difference between the throw and the coverlet?The throw is 160 × 220 cm — sized for a sofa, a chair, or the foot of a bed. The coverlet is 200 × 240 cm and covers a mattress on its own. Same cloth, same weave, two scales.
Will white show wear on a sofa?It shows dirt sooner than grey does, though it also washes back brighter. A warm cycle handles ordinary use; keeping one on the couch where a dog sleeps is asking more of it.
Is the herringbone visible from across the room?Barely. At distance the piece reads as texture on a white ground. That chevron resolves within a few feet, which is why it layers under bolder patterns without competing with them.
Can I wash it with my sheets?Yes, alongside similar colors on a warm cycle, then low heat in the dryer. Running it with white bedding is the simplest way to keep tone consistent across the whole room.
