LoftWeave Quilted Muslin Coverlet

The color

It is the darkest shade in the LoftWeave range, and it settles a bed instead of lifting it.

Across four quilted layers of muslin the green picks up shadow in the folds and goes almost sage where light strikes it flat.

On white sheets the contrast is clean; on cream, the whole bed turns earthy.

The weave

Four sheets of Turkish cotton muslin are laid over one another and joined with a light quilting stitch. Without that stitching the layers would slide; with it, the coverlet keeps its shape and gains a gentle structure you can feel when you lift a corner. The stacked muslin holds a pocket of warmth while staying open enough to breathe, which is why it weighs far less than its warmth suggests.

Styling

Try Olive in a room with a darker wall — clay, deep green, charcoal — where a pale coverlet would float. It also holds up in a bedroom full of wood tones, where too many warm neutrals start to blur together. Layer a cream linen sheet underneath so the green has an edge to sit against, and leave the drape loose down one side.
