100% Turkish Cotton

Two-tone jacquard weave

Made in Türkiye

The making

Made slowly, in small batches.

The color

The two tones here sit close together, so the jacquard reads as texture from across a room and as pattern up close, a faint tide-line effect running through the sleeves.

Against skin the cotton feels dry and lightly structured, the way good hotel linen does before a hundred launderings have worn it in.

In a bathroom of wood and stone, this looks less like a robe than like part of the room.

The weave

Two colors are interlaced on the loom here rather than applied afterward, which is all jacquard really describes. Woven pattern gives the cloth body, so the robe holds a line at the shoulder and sleeve instead of hanging limp. Absorbency comes from the Turkish cotton, drying you as you move around. Wash after wash the hand relaxes, though the structure that makes it feel spa-like stays put.

Styling

Keep Salt & Sand where water and sun are part of the routine: an outdoor shower, a pool house, a rental where everyone arrives wet. Its warm tone holds up beside sun-faded decking and jute far better than bright white would. Ordering the pair and leaving one hanging in the guest room is the quietest form of hospitality, because nobody then has to ask.

Frequently asked

Does the set of two come in mixed sizes?A set is two robes in whichever size you select, so choose S/M or L/XL at checkout. When two people need different sizes, order them as separate singles at $109 apiece.

Is it absorbent enough straight out of the shower? That is what it was built for. Turkish cotton pulls water off skin rather than pushing it around, so the robe replaces the towel-then-robe step on most mornings.

How does this differ from Salt Stone?Color alone. This one runs warm and sandy where the other reads as a cool grey. Same weave, same structured hand, same two sizes, same pricing.

For a cooler grey, see Salt Stone.
