Generously oversized for full-body coverage, its breathable weave makes it an ideal quick-drying Turkish cotton bath sheet for everyday bathing, travel, beach days, and warm climates.
Designed to become softer with use, Tessera brings relaxed texture, versatility, and understated luxury to the bath.
The weave
Tessera is woven flat rather than looped, so the cloth has body without bulk. Less material holding water means it never turns heavy on the rail, and the open, breathable structure releases moisture into the room instead of storing it. At roughly 243 g/m² it sits between our muslin bath sheets and a classic terry — light enough to pack and dry fast, substantial enough to feel like a proper bath sheet. The pattern is yarn-dyed and woven in, not printed: deep Walnut Brown stripes across a natural cream ground, framed by a band of small woven triangles — the mosaic tiles, or tesserae, that give the towel its name. Hand-knotted tassels finish both ends.

Styling
The oversized cut is what makes it versatile. Wrapped after a shower it covers head to knee; spread on the sand it works as a beach blanket; folded once it takes up a fraction of the space a terry bath sheet needs in a carry-on. At home, keep one by the pool or outdoor shower, or rolled into a basket for summer guests. Walnut Brown is a deep, quiet brown set against natural cream, with the mosaic band picked out in sand — warm against white tile and pale wood, and easy alongside linen, rattan and stone.

Is it a bath sheet or a beach towel?Both. At home it is a full-size bath sheet; on the beach the flat weave shakes off sand, dries in the sun and folds small enough for a tote. Woven, not printed, so the pattern holds up to salt water and frequent washing.
Is it absorbent enough for everyday bathing?Yes. A flat weave lifts water off the skin on contact rather than soaking it into a deep pile, so it dries you quickly and then dries itself quickly too.
Does it soften with use?It arrives soft and keeps going. Each wash relaxes the weave further, so the cloth grows more supple and more absorbent across the first several cycles.
How fast does it dry?Much faster than terry. With little bulk holding water, it clears a hook or a chair back in an hour or two — ideal for humid bathrooms, shared summer houses and travel.
