The color
It is the shade to pick while a bathroom is still evolving.
Raised detailing runs subtly through the field, a low relief you register underfoot before you register by eye, and the cotton is woven densely enough that a wet step is absorbed rather than spread.
The weave
Two things follow from a mat being cotton the whole way through. First, you can wash it as often as you like, at normal temperatures, in the dryer, with no underside degrading, since neither latex nor PVC is present to stiffen or break apart. Second, it dries from above and below, so it is not still damp by lunchtime. Smooth floors want a thin pad.

Styling
Picture a guest cottage half bath: beadboard painted chalky off-white, aged bronze tapware, a cane basket of rolled towels. Does it fit under a low door?Usually yes. A woven mat sits lower than a foam-filled one, so most doors swing clear. Where clearance is very tight, place it along the tub instead of the door's path.
Does it stay put on smooth floors?It can travel on polished or wet surfaces, as no rubber underside holds it. A slim pad stops that, and stepping down onto it rather than sliding a foot across makes a real difference.
Soft or supportive?Cushioned, not squashy. The pile has genuine depth, so it feels soft immediately, while density underneath keeps it from bottoming out the way thin flat-weave mats do.
